At 14:50hrs Station 34 was dispatched for the Tanker to stand by at the Huguenot Fire Station. The Tanker was also covering calls in the Cuddebackville Fire District from Huguenot. Both Departments were operating at a large brush fire at Point Peter in the City of Port Jervis, along with multiple interstate mutual aid departments. Temperatures reached 100 degrees during the incident. Also on stand by at Huguenot was an Engine crew from Montague, New Jersey.
34-1, 34-2, 34-3, 34-31 responded. A crew for 34-11 and 34-51 stood by at Station 34. All units were back in service at 18:48hrs.
As of this date we have had 15 more emergency calls than we had at the end of July 2009.
