Engine and Tanker Go To Cuddebackville Structure Fire
Sun. Dec 27th 2009

At 05:09hrs Station 34 was dispatched for the Engine and Tanker to stand by at the Cuddebackville Fire Station. Cuddebackville was operating at a working structure fire on Galley Hill Road. As the Engine signed in service, there orders were changed to establish a draft to fill Tankers at Route 209 and Canal Road. Due to the recent cold temperatures, the crew from 34-11 had to open up a hole in three inches of ice to establish a draft. The crew filled 8 Tankers during the shuttle.

At 05:27hrs 34-31 was moved from their stand by assignment and placed into the Tanker shuttle. 34-31 shuttled 4 loads of water.

A crew remained at our Station with 34-51 and 34-61 but Wurstsboro was placed on stand by in their Station with and Engine to cover calls in our District.

34-1, 34-2, 34-11 and 34-31 responded. All units were back in service at 09:22hrs.
